Anemone Flower Wedding Theme

Kristen wanted a custom invitation for her wedding featuring Anemone flowers. This flower is ADORABLE. Anemone means "WIND" in Greek. And is known as the "WIND FLOWER" as they thought the wind caused it to bloom. Soooo Sweet. Don't you think?

Kristen's custom wedding invitations with anemone flowers is simple and vintage. Light tan metallic coverstock, layered w/ black coverstock and thick white coverstock. Each Anemone is finished off HAND-PAINTED in a very light blush watercolor. Each invite is truly one-of-a-kind.

I have been designing wedding invitations for 11 years. I normally illustrate VERY large blooms. I must say this simple flower stole my heart.

NEW PAINTING ~ divi tree

Now that was fun.

I painted this divi tree for Alicia's custom wedding invitations.
It will now be available in our Signature and Printable Collections.

Painting such tropical scenes is REFRESHING to my soul during these cold winter months.
Friday was a "snow" day. However, I am calling it an "ice" day. They closed the schools because of freezing rain and the ice thereafter. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Today, Saturday, I painted a green orchid. I will post as soon as I can.

Next on the drawing board, orange calla lilies.
